elfinmagic Posted June 26, 2017 Author #26 Share Posted June 26, 2017 Good information. I did go into my account and although some of the OBC was listed, none were marked "refundable or nonrefundable." Could that be because I have not made final payment? The TA OBC is not listed. We booked with a big box warehouse store. That is strange - we have two 10 day b2b for next March and the show TA OBC and Promotional OBC and tells that neither is refundable?? I have had times where the TA did not actually set up the OBC until the ship had sailed. If it has not been set up yet, it will not show up in the Personalizer. cah14522 Posted March 12, 2018 #28 Share Posted March 12, 2018 ...Of course, non refundable OBC is used up first, so if you have a combination of the two (refundable and non-refundable), you only need to use up the non-refundable total and the rest will come back to you by check in the mail a few weeks after your cruise. If you don't have "free gratuities" as one of your booking perks, then often the gratuities uses up a good portion of your non refundable obc. Don So on Princess, OBC can be used to pay for your tips? We normally cruise on Carnival, so I am trying to verify that before cruising. Thanks! paul929207 Posted March 12, 2018 #29 Share Posted March 12, 2018 Yes, OBC can cover the autotips. I have never seen anything saying additional tips could be charged to your account. I have always given cash for that.

Everything you purchase/do ON the ship (with the exception of buying a Future Cruise Deposit or booking a cruise) is charged to your On Board Credit account. You can use cash for games in the casino and extra tips, but that's about it.

We booked with a big box warehouse store. Go back and look at the Credits entry again. Some of the items will have a small asterisk at the end of the individual liness like the example I've added below. Down below the totals there will be a comment just like shown below. Micahs Grandad Posted March 13, 2018 #33 Share Posted March 13, 2018 We go to a table and get chips to use up the obc and when we get tired of gambling turn it into cash.

Rare geoherb Posted March 13, 2018 #35 Share Posted March 13, 2018 I thought we might have leftover OBC last month, but we ended up making the cut for the Ultimate Ship's Tour. We were on the waitlist when we signed up. That used it all up. I did charge some to my account on a slot machine and cashed out when I was tired of playing. I ended up about $6 ahead considering what I got out of the casino and what my credit card was charged at the end of the cruise.
