I haven't seen this asked yet. With the new system of where you don't have to fill out the declaration form if you haven't spent under $800, have they now lifted the amount of liquor/cigarettes you can buy as long as it's under $800?

To the best of my knowledge no, those requirements are still in place so if you buy more than your allowance of those items you would still have to declare them even if your total spending is under $800.

Requirements still in place. We had to verbally declare last month to the agent.

Has this been rolled out at every port? We sailed out of Long Beach on the Miracle in May and still were required to complete the customs form.

Not true.

We just got off the Magic 8 night Eastern on Sunday, and they didn't give us any Customs Forms.

We heard someone else question it, and if your declarations are UNDER $800, you do NOT need to fill one out.

I bought four cartons of cigarettes on the ship ($125) and that was about it, plus some t-shirts and magnets on the islands, so we didn't need to fill them out.

Definitely made debarkation MUCH faster.:D

I just got off the Sunshine today at the NYC Terminal. I had to fill out and hand in a complete custom forms just like all of the previous cruises. nothing changed for me.

We were on the Sensation out of Miami and we did not have to fill them out. Customs asked us no questions either.

Recently returned on the Magic and did not have to fill out custom's form. However, the agent verbally asked about alcohol purchases.
