Can you walk to town from the getaway port?

i will be on the getaway this November and would like to know if I can walk to downtown San Miguel in Cozumel from the port?

Is it possible? Yes. Is it a long walk? Absolutely. I would recommend just taking a taxi. It's $8 total whether it be 2, 3, 4 or 5.

There are 3 piers in Cozumel. I thought NCL docked at Langosta Pier downtown. (???)

Yes, when you get to the "land end" of the pier you will be in downtown San Miguel...

NCL uses two piers in Cozumel. One is downtown, the other is the International pier which is about 2 miles from downtown.

Sure you can – but it's a really really long walk. My husband, sister-in-law, son and niece are all in great shape and they did the walk one time and they said they would've rather had paid the eight bucks for a taxi. :D

Been on the Getaway to Cozumel twice and both times we have docked at the International Pier. As I said initially, is it possible? Yes. Would I recommend it? No. Just a long, hot, sweaty walk. Also, Av. Rafael Melgar (the waterfront street) is quite long itself and the shopping extends for close to a mile. You don't want to be worn out before you ever get to the fun part. ;-)

We’ve been to Cozumel on Getaway and Dawn and both times docked at Punta Langosta which is pretty much right in the middle of town. We will be on the Escape next month visiting Cozumel again and are again scheduled for Punta Langosta.

 

Here is a schedule I found for the beginning of Nov showing the Getaway at Punta Langosta.
