RainyJ Posted November 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2017 I can't believe we did this, but we left behind a small, insulated lunch box packed with medication in our cabin refrigerator. We realized it when we were on the shuttle back to the airport! Is there any hope of getting it mailed back to us? An email or phone number we could try? Fortunately, it's okay if we're out of luck--most was used and we have enough of what's needed at home. I just can't believe after checking the room a few times neither one of us checked the fridge.:o
nursemommy7578 Posted November 20, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 20, 2017 (edited) I was told a big fat NO a few years back when I left stuff on Majesty. I called Royal within an hour of leaving the ship....the items were discarded already. I was not happy. I understand they cant keep things for an extended time, but how about a week?! Some of us will reach out quickly and pay for shipping Edited November 20, 2017 by nursemommy7578 Edit
Rare BillOh Posted November 20, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 20, 2017 NO PERSONAL EXPERIENCE HERE, but most stories here don't go well, since it is replaceable, I probably wouldn't try. If it was a highly controlled substance and there was 30 days or more in your belonging I might try.
Clarea Posted November 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 20, 2017 Try calling Post Cruise Customer Support: (800) 256-6649. I would not expect to have your items returned. I left some prescription glasses once and they said they looked, but could not find them. My own suspicion is that the stateroom crew are working very hard to get the staterooms ready for the next cruise that they don't want to spend any time turning in personal belongings. reallyitsmema Posted November 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 20, 2017 Personally, I would just write it off. I would be concerned that the medication wasn't kept at the correct temperature since you left the cabin and might have spoiled. Better safe than sorry. kayehall Posted November 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 20, 2017 Personally, I would just write it off. I would be concerned that the medication wasn't kept at the correct temperature since you left the cabin and might have spoiled. Better safe than sorry. That's what I was going to say. You don't know who has had it or where it has been stored. I would not chance using the medication.

DrHfuhruhurr Posted November 20, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 20, 2017 Funny story. We were on a cruise on the Carnival Breeze last November and left behind our formal wear. My best suit, and my wife's favorite evening dress. We wore them for formal night and then stashed them in a small cabinet, inside of a laundry bag. One too many passes through the casino left them reeking of cigarette smoke, and we were trying to avoid the smell. Guess which cabinet we didn't check when leaving the ship? No luck getting them back, unfortunately. Expensive mistake.
bouhunter Posted November 20, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 20, 2017 Try the phone # in post #4. I would estimate that historically here, 80% of the "lost and found" reports here never get anything back.......
1cruise2U Posted November 21, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 21, 2017 My husband left his car car - $700 key, I called customer service, they gave me to lost and found department and I gave the my cruise number and room number about a week later they called and I gave them credit card for shipping key was shipped and arrived within a few days. So it is worth checking into if you leave something.
jelayne Posted November 21, 2017 #11 Share Posted November 21, 2017 A coup,e of years ago DH left his IPad on a Celebrity ship. He realized it about 6 hrs later. The ship was still in port so he returned and got to the entry to the ship. He told the security officer about the IPad. Our cabin stewards had turned in the IPad. We got it back! Similar incident when he left a camera on a Carnival ship, that wasn't turned in.
RainyJ Posted November 21, 2017 Author #12 Share Posted November 21, 2017 Thanks all! We'll try the phone number--I'll update if we get it back. I agree the meds and supplements will be useless, but my son will at least get his FBI lunch bag back ;)
wolfganghowell Posted November 21, 2017 #13 Share Posted November 21, 2017 I would certainly try. years back, I found a lovely scarf and some expensive looking costume jewelry in our cabin. I went to Guest Services, they filled out a report, placed them in a sealed envelope and had me witness it. I think they will certainly make an attempt.
