george35 Posted November 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2017 Just booked a cruise with my TA & as a perk I received $475 cruise credit. My question is do I have to spend it all or can I get cash for any un-used part of the credit??? george35
Rare cruisestitch Posted November 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2017 If it comes from the cruise line it must be spent. If it comes from the travel agent it is refundable. Some OBC appears to come from the agent but actually come from Celebrity so be sure to ask your travel agent for clarification.

Some OBC appears to come from the agent but actually come from Celebrity so be sure to ask your travel agent for clarification. If you do have both OBN (Non-refundable, usually from the cruise line) and OBR (refundable, usually from your TA), the system will automatically use the OBR first against any of your charges. Therefore if you do not spend the total you should get the remainder back to your credit card. Steve
Shadow9612 Posted November 25, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 25, 2017 I would check with Guest Services onboard - they will be able to confirm how much OBN vs OBR you have. Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Forums mobile app
jelayne Posted November 25, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 25, 2017 The ship will apply charges to OBN which is the non refundable on-board credit. OBR is refundable and will be refunded to your credit card if unused.

Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Forums mobile app Just check your account on the TV in your stateroom. OBC is generally listed by the second day. Each entry will be listed with OBN or OBR somewhere in the code.

goldfish1111 Posted November 25, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 25, 2017 Hi. Can you still go to the casino and use your non refundable OBC to get money back for a fee?
Rare cruisestitch Posted November 25, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 25, 2017 Short answer, no. Not like before. Now you can get specially marked chips for table games and you gen can keep your winnings. Or can he the OBC amount loaded onto a slot machine and again can keep your winnings.
