Gari Posted February 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2018 Hi All, I am excited to sale out on the Pride in just 26 days. I have a few questions 1.) I will be getting a ride to the Port of Baltimore and am Platinum. What time can I plan on getting there - I want to get in at quickly as possible to just relax and start my Spring Break (we teachers often times need it more than the kids) 2.) Does anyone have a copy of the menu? I haven't been on her in a while and I'm not sure when the menu changes happened. 3.) Is there still a Sports Bar? I love to be able to relax and watch sports on the tvs but with all the talk of station cuts I am wondering if that is still an option Thanks everyone for your guidance and advice. I just can't wait to sail away.
splintz Posted February 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2018 I will be on the same cruise. It will be my 6th cruise on the pride. Always take the kids on a spring break cruise. I live in md so I always drive to the port. But I do know they will let drop off’s onto the property long before they open up the parking lots. Not sure exact time to get into terminal probably around 9-10. But you won’t be able to board ship until around noon usually. They do have a platinum check in room with pastries and drinks. As a teacher I hope you don’t expect to get away from kids on this cruise the ship will be overrun by them. Loads of kids on the pride during spring break. The aft serenity area on the pride is great though. It has a hot tub, a pool and a bar but gets crowded and is hard to find a chair. The sports bar is great and we spend a lot of time there. But the sports have always been limited to the few channels they get. Hopefully they still get network channels in the sports bar and casino even though they stopped broadcasting them in the rooms. We will see soon. The pride is a great ship and one of our favorites. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
chf1953 Posted February 27, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2018 Do not arrive before your assigned check in time or you won't be allowed in the terminal.
kingston13 Posted February 27, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2018 Baltimore is a bit later than most. I wouldn't get there before 11:30. I have sailed out of there a few times and am also Platinum and earlier than that would have meant a long wait. There was still a short wait then. asalligo Posted February 27, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 27, 2018 I would arrive prior to 11:30, but that is just me. When I was on the Pride last I drove and was sitting in the parking lot waiting to be let in to park. I watched many a drop off occur and those people be let into the building up to a half an hour before we were allowed to park. Next time I sail the Pride, I will get a ride to the port. Now I know many will say, why arrive so early, but personalities like mine are not comfortable until the butt is in the terminal seat.

I purchased FTTF for the pride summer trip. when I do check in- will I get two times? one for FTTF and regular?? help for those seasoned FTTF friends out there Because of the way the website is set up you must choose a check-in time. You can do this without completing your check-in if the time slots appear, generally around 180 days prior to sailing. Once you select a time slot, you can ignore it completely if you have FTTF. stellarose Posted February 27, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 27, 2018 it will not let me check in until i have the new passport.

I purchased FTTF for the pride summer trip. when I do check in- will I get two times? one for FTTF and regular?? help for those seasoned FTTF friends out there FTTF is allowed to check in at your leisure, so you can check in as soon as the doors open with FTTF. You will still choose a check in time, but you will be able to ignore whatever time you are given and check in whenever you like.
springs741 Posted February 27, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 27, 2018 it will not let me check in until i have the new passport. But you can pick your check in time (also called appointment time and about 180 days before sail date) prior to completing the check in process. Again, with FTTF you must pick a time but do not have to adhere to the time.
Gari Posted March 1, 2018 Author #12 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Thanks all for your information. I am just so excited to get on her Another question does anyone know if they still have the Indian Tandoori I think they used to have a station in the back part of the ship near the pool area

I just can't wait to sail away. I know there are menus around. I think someone posted their February review under the Nassau or Private Island board instead of Carnival and it had menus. Sports bar was still there last week, but we didn't spend any time there. It looked like a variety of sports on screens when we walked through. Thanks all for your information. I am just so excited to get on her Another question does anyone know if they still have the Indian Tandoori I think they used to have a station in the back part of the ship near the pool area We did not see any Tandoori. The deck plans on the Carnival web site should list all the available dining options. Enjoy your cruise!
Herbaltees Posted March 10, 2018 #14 Share Posted March 10, 2018 it will not let me check in until i have the new passport. Just put in “birth certificate” as your documentation. You can always change it later. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

CruisingAgain Posted March 10, 2018 #16 Share Posted March 10, 2018 When we sailed the Pride in July 2017 we could not get into the terminal until 12:00. We are platinum. They weren't letting anyone in. It's wasn't like it used to be where we could arrive early, check in and then wait an hour or two or more to board. Not sure if that's how it is every week. We also sailed in November 2017 but the ship was VERY late due to high winds and it was quite a mess. I don't think they were paying any attention to the check in times. nycruise3 Posted March 10, 2018 #17 Share Posted March 10, 2018 1.) I will be getting a ride to the Port of Baltimore and am Platinum. What time can I plan on getting there - I want to get in at quickly as possible to just relax and start my Spring Break (we teachers often times need it more than the kids) It starts around 12 for Platinums/Diamonds. They won't let you into the terminal until 12, but depending on how strict they are that day, it might be earlier. 2.) Does anyone have a copy of the menu? I haven't been on her in a while and I'm not sure when the menu changes happened. http://www.cruisetipstv.com/download-carnival-miracle-menus/ It should be the same menu on the different ships, but the ship can change the order or substitute whenever they want. 3.) Is there still a Sports Bar? I love to be able to relax and watch sports on the tvs but with all the talk of station cuts I am wondering if that is still an option There was when I was on her in May. I do not think they would take that away because it is a big money maker. I hope I helped.
Jays_Fan Posted March 20, 2018 #18 Share Posted March 20, 2018 I just sailed on Pride last week. Great time. They were still offloading passengers at 12 noon and we arrived back in port a little early. We didn't leave parking lot until 12:15 and there were people behind us. I wouldn't suggest getting there much before 12 as you may just have to stand around waiting until they are ready to welcome new guests.
