Harmony question about deck 8

Recommended Posts

We are currently in rooms on deck 10 but in the aft, right next to suite. Since prices have gone down we can't get refund but can upgrade to room with large balcony It would be on deck 8 .Question is that deck plan shows the restaurants right next to rooms. How does this work? Do you see them or is it just a wall? Do you smell food the entire time in your room??

Any benefits in this move our just stay where we are Thanks!!

If you look at the deck plans, you'll see all the "public" areas are in the center....the cabins are on the outside of the ship and the hallway is only open to the inside at the stairs and elevators. It's not as if you open your door and see the backside of those restaurants and other places! All you see is a hallway, stretching as far as you can see!

We stayed in deck 8 JS room 8230. According to the deck plan the restaurants were on the other side of the hall. There were no entrances though on this side that we could see.

Room was very quiet and conveniently located. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

We were on deck 8 for 3 cruises on Harmony and once on Allure and had no problems.

It is a great deck for Central Park,Park Cafe and speciality restaurants it is our favourite deck.
