Posted today from an Infinity cruiser:

On Infinity at the moment. Just arrived in Cartagena. We have had an outbreak of novo virus on board. It seemed they had it under control but apparently not, despite massive efforts to sanitise. Last night they stopped icing the martini bar. Sure sign they are getting even more serious. I imagine those boarding at Fort Lauderdale will get further information but pack plenty of disinfectant wipes/sprays etc- especially those with suppressed immune systems. Staff are working so many extra hours on sanitation. As if they don’t already work crazy amounts!

The return rate on the free elite bag of laundry was if it was left in the morning , it was returned the next day in the evening. Friends who paid for laundry got it back a little quicker. Elite breakfast has been held in the Tuscan Grill ( and served to you since the norovirus outbreak) and daily cocktail time was held up in the Constellation lounge .

I have had my Elite laundry returned the following day in the morning before noon. It may depend on how busy the laundry is at any given time when guest laundry is coming through as to when you may get it back. Given that it was free, I didn't really care nor would I have complained (unless i was missing something).

No kidding ...I have always been...and continue to be grateful for anything given to me...

No biggie. Done it that way every time without running out of undies before the washed was returned. Great return rate. On our last B2B cruise on the Equinox (March 2018) the elite continental breakfast was also held in the Tuscan Grill which we elected not to go ( prefer the MDR) and elite HHs was held in the Sky Lounge. We were on the Infinity September 2017 and looking forward to our September 2018 cruise on the Infinity. The Sky lounge on the Equinox and the Constellation lounge on the Infinity is the same layout. We felt the service was equal.

hopeless....don't fret. We have been on two cruises recently where the previous cruise had norovirus and they delayed boarding so they could do a more thorough cleaning. Neither of our cruises had noro. They are, unfortunately, used to this and it's routine. For the first few days, you will be served in the buffet vs taking your own with a serving spoon...but then you will find you can serve yourself. There won't be nuts/nibblies on the bars or tables...but you can ask for them. Finally, as they always should, they will insist that you use hand sanitizer before entering the restaurants/food areas...and you'll see more staff wiping down stair/hall rails and similar.

Just use common sense (and yes, hope that others do as well)...wash your hands every time you return to your cabin, etc.

Thank You! That's encouraging

Yep, what everyone has said. We've had a great time despite the minor inconveniences. All six of us are healthy . The preventive measures put in place incovenced a hardworking staff more than it did us. The casino even washes the gambling chips ! (And with one cruise day left, I don't believe we will get the chance to serve ourselves anything at this point. It's been staff serving everything from around day five of voyage)

Someone on the current cruise said they lifted the restrictions after Cartegena. That’s terrific news.

On the previous cruise, I spoke to an entertainer who was serving coffee in the buffet around 7:30 one morning. I commented that the extra work must be very difficult for them. She said she didn’t mind the extra work alt all. Just wished it wasn’t quite so early! That made me chuckled. I never heard any of the staff grumble or make a negative comment on the situation.
