RE: Cape Liberty Disembarkation

I'm sailing in October on a New England/Canada Cruise. Gets back into port Cape Liberty on a Saturday morning.

 

For those who have sailed from Cape Liberty - do you think I can make an 11am flight home? Royal is saying nothing before 1pm but if I don't take the 11:10am I sit around until 6pm. Just not sure how far or how busy EWR is.

That should be fine, if the ship is not delayed and you do self assist disembarkation.

This past October we had no trouble doing self disembark and getting from Cape Liberty to EWR for our 11:30am flight... We used Uber for our transportation...quick and easy. Not a fan of EWR so the less time the better.

Yes should be easily do-able. Be in one of the first groups off carrying your own luggage.

Never can guarantee it but we easily made a 9:25 flight (schedule change by airline with no later option) - walked off, nabbed a taxi and we were at EWR at 8:00 am. Nerve wracking but worked out this time.

Cruise port to EWR is less than 10 miles. Not much traffic on a Saturday. It should not be a problem.

I’ve disembarked in cape liberty a few times and twice we were very late arriving due to rough weather (summer cruises). Two hour delay each time.

That's very unusual. Have sailed from Cape Liberty many times and NEVER returned late. IMO biggest risk is TSA line at EWR. Hopefully you have TSA-Pre.
