emmas gran Posted August 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2018 Friends in Australia have asked for help as they are not CC members yet Does a Grand suite and above give access to Diamond + lounge/drinks (they are elite + on X)? What other perks/facilities are available? I don't think there is a restaurant/dining like Celebrity for suites is there? It's 17 years since we were on Voyager and I see she has been Australized? Thanks for your help Liz

Thanks for your help Liz As Celebrity Elite, they are treated as Diamond on Royal Caribbean, and have access to the Diamond Lounge. As Grand Suite passengers, they have access to the Concierge Lounge. Both Lounges have the same "happy hours" and the same drink menu. Suite passengers will have access to breakfast in one of the specialty restaurants. I don't know which one they use on Voyager.

Make sure your friends call in and get a C&A account and link it to their Celebrity account to ensure they are D on the sailing. Not sure what you mean Australiazed? emmas gran Posted August 12, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted August 12, 2018 Hi Biker19 Berlitz guide to ships states Voyager was Australized in 2014 for the Australian market— but cannot find out what this means. To talk to a booking agent UK and Australia speak to Guatemala -calls are charged at a premium rate from UK. That’s why I am trying to gather information Liz
Biker19 Posted August 12, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 12, 2018 I've never seen any reports on any ship of any venues added/modified for Aussie sailings. It could be that some processes are modified - having grats included in the fare is one of them, slightly modified menus could be another. You might be able to set up the C&A account and link it to the Celebrity Captains Club account on line, but the current RCI web site is a bit wonky. tomatosauce Posted August 12, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 12, 2018 Yes it has been made slightly more Australian but the changes involved are minimal. Different cereals at breakfast, slightly different wines and other alcohol on sale (or at least different proportions purchased), etc. Still USD for purchases, no Australian power points and so on. gerif Posted August 12, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 12, 2018 Maybe the nonsmoking casino could be the change?
BekkaW Posted August 12, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 12, 2018 Maybe the nonsmoking casino could be the change? And gratuity already included in menu prices (eg drinks)
emmas gran Posted August 12, 2018 Author #10 Share Posted August 12, 2018 Thx for your prompt replies. To clarify they are Crown & Anchor members, not cruise critic. Will pass the information on to them tomorrow. Liz
