Check In Times

This will be our first Princess cruise.  On our boarding pass the check in time is stated as 1:00-3:00.  Is Princess strict about this or would we be able to board before this?  We were planning to arrive at the pier around 11:00.  Thanks!!

You will be fine if you check in at 11am. You should be on board by 12:30, maybe earlier, depends on the port and the pier how quickly you board. Pier 2 in Ft. Lauderdale is very fast.

We always get there around 11 AM   .... never have had a problem.

Just be aware that at 11:00 the rooms will most likely not be ready

The 1pm to 3pm time is a suggestion, not a mandate.

You can get there as early as you'd like.  Boarding will likely start around 11 ish.

You get to board based on when you checked in.  They take those on Bon Voyage first, then elite/suites/platinum, and then based on boarding groups based on when you checked in. It's fairly fast once it gets started.  The welcome photo does slow the line a bit, but some people just bypass it.

 

They say rooms will not be available until 1 so you get to carry your carry on's around until then.
