Smoking Areas on Rotterdam

Can you still smoke in the Rotterdam casino? If not, where can you smoke on that ship? I did check the HAL website for their smoking policy and it lists the changes made in 2017. But, I thought I remembered some changes since then that don't reflect that policy. For example, someone had posted that you can no longer smoke in the Nieuw Amsterdam casino. We are considering booking the Rotterdam because of a terrific casino offer. I also searched Cruise Critic and was given very unrelated posts, so not helpful at all. Thanks.

From the FAQ on the HAL website:

 

• Designated areas for active slot players in Casinos*. Oosterdam and Eurodam casinos are completely non-smoking. Noordam Casino is completely non-smoking, with the exception of two nights per cruise.

As of our 2016 Rotterdam cruise, they could smoke on the starboard side of the retreat.

On the Rotterdam smoking is allowed in the casino most days.  Gala nights could be the exception. 

 

I know this because the smell permeated the entire area including the bar next to it and the shops.  It wasn't good.

It ends up that the Rotterdam is totally booked for the Neptune Suites in the casino offer, so we are going to book a Neptune on the Oosterdam and yes, I see that the Oosterdam casino is smoke free.
