Chesneygirl Posted February 17, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2019 (edited) This just happened on Friday February 15th. We were docked next to the Symphony while in Nassau…the ship did wait but in the end the couple was just tooo late getting back. CrazyIrving Posted February 17, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Oh boy! Must’ve been an unpleasant experience to be a pier runner. Been researching and telling myself be back at the pier at least 3 hours before.

It can be cool in January and February, if a cold front goes through. Plus a lot of people wear long sleeves for sun protection. My husband does. I would give them heat stroke with long sleeves in any warm climate 🤣 I forget the rest of the world (including me) doesn’t sweat at 60 degrees 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Rare mskaufman Posted February 19, 2019 #7 Share Posted February 19, 2019 Wonder if there is a follow up. We were once on a cruise where someone missed the ship in Nassau and a police boat caught up with the ship and they were able to jump on.
BNBR Posted February 20, 2019 #8 Share Posted February 20, 2019 Bahamas isn't a bad place to miss the ship, at least. Easy flights back to Miami. I'd probably just book Baha Mar for a few days then fly back to Miami to retrieve stuff from the ship.
scubagirrl Posted February 20, 2019 #9 Share Posted February 20, 2019 It's fine if you have your passport, but not if you left it on the ship. Luckily there is an American Embassy nearby the port. Can get expensive.
