Luggage

They have NOTHING for late flights.  I'd try to get something earlier, or book a nice hotel room (with a pool and restaurant) for the day.  There is nothing worse than trying to "kill time" before a flight.  Book a room..relax and have a nice day..then head to the airport, showered and fresh.

So agree with renting a car for the day!

This would allow you to do the sightseeing you desire and have a place for your luggage!

Our daughter's family did this before their late flight home in Honolulu and had a wonderful day.  :classic_cool:

That is exactly what we did for our Alaska cruise many years ago. Our flight was 9 pm so we rented a car and went all over that day arriving at the airport at 7 pm after an early dinner. There is always something in every city you would enjoy no mater your taste . Zoos, museums, art gallerys, beaches, or quaint little shopping areas like perhaps  a China town. Do your research, you will find something you would enjoy(which should not be hard in Honolulu, lol!)  If you have Waze on your phone, no issue driving somewhere you do not know.  Waze got my husband around in Vienna, Austria last year during his business trip which was a plus since he did not know the local language. Now he took  public transportation most of the time on his own, (shared a car with other business associates for work, 4 of them total) but Waze directed him to which train he needed.
