How about Arnim? We think they came in at Indianola and then went to Hallettsville.

No I do-not recognize  that one either in my Ancestry.

Second Willy G's especially since it is a t the port. I know you did not ask about breakfast but the Sunflower Café is wonderful and only about a 10 minute walk from the pier.

We have only been to Galveston once, back in 2014. We went to Saltgrass. It was quite good, very busy. Is this place still open

Saltgrass Steakhouse is a national chain owned by Landry's. Like most Landry's restaurants, it's OK, but nothing to write home about.

ok, thanks. We went there because it was walking distance from our hotel. We found the food and service to be pretty good.

We had a home in Galveston for many years. In our opinion, the best restaurant on the island is Rudy & Paco's. Another great choice is Black Pearl Oyster Bar. Saltwater Grille is another stand-by and is located directly across the street from Rudy & Paco's. All three are located downtown within walking distance of the cruise piers. Gaido's on the Seawall is a Galveston institution, now celebrating it's 108th year in business! All of these restaurants have really good websites with their menus posted.

Sunflower is much further than a 10 minute walk, as is Mosquito Cafe and Original Mexican; all on 14th St.

Restaurant menus can be found on galveston.com
