Available onboard?

I am leaving very soon and wanted to know:

 

if they have clothes steamers in the rooms. I am in a Q on the QM2 on 7/7

 

if dry cleaning service is available

 

if they offer shampoo and blowouts and manicures onboard

There are no clothes steamers. Neither are you permitted to bring your own.

 

Dry cleaning is available at a reasonable cost.

 

There is a hairdresser/beauty treatment salon on board.

There are ironing facilities in the laundry rooms or they offer pressing services.

They don't really have dry cleaning as such. They have regular laundry and "specialty cleaning" which may not be suitable for dry clean-only items.

Have you tried Downey Wrinkle Release?  It’s quite effective.

Here is a description of the cleaning process from the Cunard website

 

"Specialist cleaning services

Wet cleaning is a professional, aqueous cleaning process for sensitive and non-washable garments. The wet cleaning process was invented in 1991 by Kreussler & Co GmbH in cooperation with Miele. Wet cleaning avoids the use of chemical solvents. Environmental groups and the United States Environmental Protection Agency have indicated that such alternative ""wet cleaning"" methods are better for the environment than chemical solvents and proponents of wet cleaning state that these methods can be used without shrinking or otherwise damaging garments that typically require dry cleaning.
 
Typically, wet cleaning involves the use of a professional wet cleaning machine using water, biodegradable soaps and conditioners, and various types of pressing and re-shaping equipment that may be specialized for many different fabric and fibre types. The most important aspect of successful wet cleaning is experience and knowledge of different types of fabrics and proper ways to finish garments by operators

Don't if it is currently available, but Dry Cleaning was undertaken ashore.  The Butler took the items then arranged for them to taken ashore to a Dry Cleaner with "hour" services, then delivered back to the ship.

 

Thought:

Are there any CC members live on the QM in a Q, and will ask their Butler if this a Dry Cleaning service can be arranged?

Ann if you go to your voyage personalizer, you will find a link to the spa service, and prices that are on offer on board.

Laundry and Dry Cleaning are available and done on board. Its a bit tough to get it ashore and back in the middle of a trans Atlantic crossing. .

I was on the Queen Victoria in June, I left a suit out to be dry cleaned,but that service is no longer available.🍷🥃
