As far as I know there are not any hotels that you might want to stay in. From what I have heard the only nice hotel relatively close is the Marriott across the street from Brooklyn Supreme Court. 138east Posted July 30, 2019 #6 Share Posted July 30, 2019 Post as many details as possible. Exact date? Number of people? How, when and where you are arriving - car, plane, train, bus? Hotel budget? Could you manage your luggage to get on an accessible ferry to the Brooklyn Cruise terminal?
Underwatr Posted July 31, 2019 #7 Share Posted July 31, 2019 (edited) Lower Manhattan is "convenient" in that a cab ride just goes through the Battery/Hugh Carey tunnel. We've stayed at the Millenium Hilton, adjacent to the WTC before a Queen Mary 2 cruise out of Brooklyn. In Brooklyn itself there are some budget/midpriced hotels (Super 8, Holiday Inn Express, Fairfield Inn) in the Gowanus/Park Slope area near the Union Street subway station. Our room was tiny but the price was good for NYC and we enjoyed a walk to the Carroll Gardens neighborhood. A black car to the ship, arranged through the hotel front desk, was around $10. Depending on your objectives while in New York you might find a hotel in mid-town Manhattan more convenient overall. No hotel convenient to the Brooklyn pier is likely to have convenient, cheap parking. Edited July 31, 2019 by Underwatr

JolieMadam Posted July 31, 2019 Author #9 Share Posted July 31, 2019 Our departure date is Oct. 14th and we are flying in on the 13th for a cruise on the Caribbean Princess. Since we are staying only the one night we thought Brooklyn would work well.
