Hump cabins

Anyone recently in a balcony cabin on the front of the hump.  Is there excessive wind ?  We always try to book on the back of a hump as we have for the Equinox in January.  Friends are joining us, there first time on Celebrity, and they have booked a cabin, deck seven, front of the rear hump.  I want them to have a great time and, like us, make Celebrity their primary line.  Wrong cabin location can be a problem.

We were on Silhouette last November for a TA and had cabin 7264 on the front of the hump.  No issue with excessive wind.  Had to stand at the rail to get any wind at all.   This was by far our favorite cabin in 15 cruises.

We have sailed several times on S-class ships in cabins on the forward-facing slant of the hump.  We prefer to see where the ship is going, and love those cabins.  We have not had a problem with excessive wind.

Ditto.  Great cabin.  So much shade and great view.

We had a different experience and the wind was so strong that most days we couldn’t use the balcony.  The weather plays a role, our sailing has some pretty strong winds, combined with the wind of the ship moving at 18k the balcony was like a wind tunnel.

This was our favourite cabin we have had as well.  We had it for a B2B in March on Solstice.  Totally agree with the wind situation.

We've sailed on front of the hump on Silhouette and Reflection and no problems with wind. We're booked on Reflection front of hump again. The balcony is deep enough that it's no problem.  Are your friends on the port or starboard side. If they're on the port side, they may get smoke from the smoking area below however. We've done both port and starboard, but are usually in Aqua on a higher deck.
