The time has come, the walrus said 😁

After booking a cruise in May .... last year .... we are now sat in the hotel in Athens, passing the time until the taxi arrives to take us to the Silver Shadow in Piraeus!

Looks like a quiet day in the port area, just the HAL Rotterdam and the Crystal Serenity are in today. The Rotterdam is on the same pier as the Shadow.

As a bonus, all of our luggage arrived in Athens as well!

Have a great trip.  I believe you are on the last cruise before drydock.

Have a good one..... and lets hope the dry dock doesn't start at sea MBP! Will be interested to find out as we have similar for the Wind next August!

We are appalled ... it took a whole 13mins,  yes that long!!!, from egressing the taxi to sitting in the Paranoia lounge drinking a relaxing champagne .... Monopole for the discerning 🤪

So far so good .. ... can’t move without someone checking that all is well ..

Bottom line is you can almost feel the stress levels falling ...

On board?

Food is good.

Suite is good.

Wifi is spotty at best  but hey ho ....

A small update.

Ship is clean, staff are great, food is spot on!

We are told 370 guests on board but it feels like nearer to 37!

No signs of pre drydock interference ... yet.

We were looking at booking another cruise whilst we are on board, but there is no cruise consultant on board. We are told the guest relations manager will try and help out but how his/her expertise will be in this field remains to be seen. We are awaiting contact.

Can you just do an open booking and fill in the details later, to get the discount?

You are welcome to have ours, apparently a number of our guests would like him to be transferred.
