b - Yes, but many are speaking about Tiffany, Bvlgari, Cartier and a few others which can be found on X's website here.

bon voyage

Thanks for posting the link to the Edge shops.

They remind me of the shops in the Crystals Mall at Aria or the Forum Shoppes at Caesars in Las Vegas.

I walk by them regularly.

Almost always empty with very little inventory.

They cannot possibly stay open .But......

Ten years later they are still there.

You don’t have to sell a lot of Hermès belts with a 900% profit margin.
I will be surprised if Celebrity goes to more lower end Shops on Edge Class.

12/1 sailing on Edge...wandered down to the shops on a seaday...had to see for myself the $95 t-shirt that I read about.  We actually found a nice selection of $20 (yes, TWENTY DOLLAR) t-shirts.  There were 6-7 designs which were nice.  Unfortunately, unless you are a XS or XXXXXL, they won't work.  I asked the sales associate who informed me that the shirts are re-stocked every other sailing...and we were not on that sailing!  I checked back a few times during the week since in the past on other ships, merchandise was filled in.  Other passengers were looking at the same shirts and getting the same story.  I guess the cruiser who is looking for a $20 t-shirt isn't important enough for Celeb to re-stock more often!

I would guess that a very large majority of cruisers look for $20 T-shirts vs $95 T-shirts.  That is why they are sold out of popular sizes.  Not sure if it says anything about the importance of the customers to Celebrity.

We actually really like the edge shops.  Nice to look at higher quality items.  We might not purchase much but sick of the junk sold on other ships.   Enough cheesy tee shirts, junk by the inch, and $10 stuff.  You can purchase at the ports if you want cheap souvenirs

Sadly, not important at all otherwise they'd re-stock on a regular basis.  And likely, the $20 t-shirt customer would possibly purchase more than one.

It’s not a me first mentality when I’d bet that 95% of cruisers that shop on cruises while on the Edge would most likely prefer traditional shops over Tiffany ...... Casinos have been around forever on ships which isn’t the same comparison to what Celebrity has done with Bvlgari and such ..... and $90 for a t-shirt? Casinos are packed , Edge shops are empty. See the difference?

Right, cause you, random internet person, have more idea about their finances and business model than people whose literal job it is to run their actual business.
