Thank you!   Great information I thought we could only order wine online.   I will definitely check out this ace spirits.

Stay Healthy!

Different states have different liquor/beer/wine laws and how and where you can buy them.

I am not sure where the cousin lives, perhaps TN.  TN may well and good allow things to be mail ordered to local residents.  PA may not allow alcohol to be purchased from out of state and delivered to your home.

Just trying to manage expectations.

BTW, my doctor who said he would phone in my meds has changed his policy, actually he is part of a large practice and it was their policy  recently applied,  that we now we have to have an appt. BY PHONE and they will charge me for a regular doctor's visit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Words fail me at this time.🙄

Virtual visits have been going on for a week or so. I have to help my parents next week with an online appointment. At least they can stay safe and not have to be stuck in an office with the general public and the Dr who has to see all types of patients. The insurance companies have been forced to accept these claims.

I heard there is a bullet train running in NYC spreading the virus. Dart riders are all touching the same surfaces, they should close. It's not safe.

NYC does not have bullet trains, we have LIRR & MetroNorth commuter trains. The US does not have bullet trains because the country’s track infrastructure is crap.

Probably talking about Acela. It's a comparable version of the bullet train.

Actually, it was a quote from NY Gov Cuomo daily press conference regarding the rapidly escalating number of cases.  He said that what started out as a freight train has now turned into a bullet train as its spreading so quickly. (I'm paraphrasing)

Acela is bullet train speed.

Heck, Amtrak is bullet train speed.

When I was in Japan, the Kyoto - Osaka train ran at 135 MPH.  Amtrak runs at 125.

Acela hits 150.

Unfornatley, Acela  can only hit 150 mph for a 30-40 mile stretch of track. Due to congestion from slower moving freight trains and commuter rail who share the same track, as well as the sharp curvature of the tracks laid down over a 150+ years ago, the average speed is about 88 mph between NY and Washington. Between Boston and NY, its even slower, about 65 mph.

Amtrak is awaiting delivery of newer equipment that'll be able to hit 185+ mph but will sadly be constraint by the same limitations, so it'll only shave a few minutes off the 6 1/2 hour Bos-Was trip.

Dallas still has Dart up and running spreading virus here. Sounds like in Louisiana they had mardi gras and it spread the virus a lot. Florida allowed the kids to have beach parties.

... meanwhile people wish it would quit spreading. I'm tired of living under lock and key and wish others would stay home and get this over with.  .... no matter what the commuter train is called, ours is still running.

Their website does give a list of states they are allowed to ship to and PA is on the list.  I'm going to try to place an order today.

Septa regional rail in southeastern PA I still running but only for essential travelers.  They basically have a train leaving every 2 or 3 hours from bucks county to philadelphia that is used by medical workers and other essential workers.  These trains usually ran every half hour and would be filled.  I heard from a good friend who is a nurse st penn medicine but lives in doylestown that train had probably 10 people on it yesterday.

Hmm I went to the grocery, I got out of the car cleaned my hands and put on latex gloves, got a wet wipe and wiped down the cart, got my groceries, outside the store, took off my gloves,  i cleaned my hands,  put a new pair on, put the groceries in the trunk, drove home, took off those gloves, cleaned my hands put on new gloves and put all groceries in the garage, took off those gloves washed my hands, took off all my clothes, left them in the garage and took a shower downstairs, walked up stairs, washed my hands again before i put on my new clothes, went back downstairs to the garage 3 days later to retrieve the groceries.   For me having gloves on remind me not to touch my face, i just dont itch my face with gloves on.  Yet all the professionals on tv are telling me not to wear gloves.  Yet i see all the health professionals doing it.  I dunno, does not make a lot of sense to me, I will just take precautions and isolate myself as much as possible, see what happens.

Does your area not have grocery stores where you can order online and they come out to your car and load it up when you get there? I am taking precautions but not nearly as many as you. Why not just do the order an pickup groceries so you don't even have to be in the stores. Where I live people are still packing in stores like sardines.
