jordanaire Posted May 23, 2020 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2020 (edited) We are scheduled to fly into Fort Lauderdale on Oct 2nd, but we are staying at the Crown Plaza in Miami. The airfare was over $190 per person difference. What is the best and economical way to get to MIA airport from FLL airport? The hotel has free shuttle from MIA. Thanks for your input! Take the free shuttle from Fl to the TriRail shuttle station, then TriRail to Miami If your connections are out, the waiting times for shuttles and TriRail could be a pain. CruiserBruce Posted May 23, 2020 #3 Share Posted May 23, 2020 If you read down the board, this question is asking quite frequently. The choices are Uber/Lyft or shuttle service (many recommended here) when you consider cost. Taxi and car service are more expensive, but car service is commonly considered "best" (especially when they are pouring champagne), or for more people. nhraformula00 Posted May 23, 2020 #4 Share Posted May 23, 2020 You would be better off using SAS, QLS, JIFFY JEFF shuttles from Fort Lauderdale airport to your hotel in Miami. About $15 per person.
JohninDC Posted May 23, 2020 #5 Share Posted May 23, 2020 Best is a stretch limo with a stocked bar. 😎 Tri -Rail is a cheap but slow option. Shared shuttles typically stop running to Miami later in the afternoon, and many will not service hotels near MIA. UberX or standard Lyft should be about $35-40 for the car, and you will enjoy curbside to door service.
