bazzaw Posted July 11, 2020 #4  Share Posted July 11, 2020 (edited) There are a number of places around the World that are now off my travel radar- Egypt, Turkey and now Hong Kong. Of course there are also a myriad of other places that were never ever on our radar . We have been lucky to get to see some that we would no longer worry about - eg fortunate to see the divers of Acapulco and the Forbidden City of Beijing. Edited July 11, 2020 by bazzaw
Rare MMDown Under Posted July 12, 2020 Author #5  Share Posted July 12, 2020 My biggest disappointment in Acapulco was not going to see the divers and not going on a ship's tour where passengers saw John Wayne.  We chose to go to local entertainment where everyone was having a ball, except us because we didn't know the language.  Lesson learnt that sometimes it pays to go on the expensive ship's tour! Despite this, I loved Acapulco and sat on deck soaking up the atmosphere until 4 am, when the ship left port.
Chiliburn Posted July 12, 2020 #6  Share Posted July 12, 2020 (edited) I see the US has given it citizens the same warning yesterday.  A interesting thing I read is the Chinese Communist Party May be suing members  of The Australian-China think tank  personally for defamation in Australian court’s over claims of human rights violations. And also a similar thing in Germany.   I’ll see if I can find a link.https://www.2lt.com.au/desperate-china-now-threatens-to-sue-think-tanks-and-researchers/ Edited July 12, 2020 by Chiliburn
