Let's pretend we can cruise again. I have some questions.

I sailed Princess once... in 2016 on a 15 day Hawaii. Played in the casino but not every day and wasn’t a high roller when I did. I’ve had three free room offers from them since spring and it still surprises me when they come. The angle is that the payment is due and final when you book. The “free cruise” requires a deposit and taxes paid at booking. They give the deposit back if you sail as an OBC. Otherwise it is non-refundable. Maybe this new revenue stream is helping to fund the refunds?

Sounds like a great deal. Wish they would send it our way!

The emails come from Princess Players Club.  We get one a month recently - some are better than others.  The April offer was for a free Oceanview, $500 freeplay and Princess Plus.  Has to be select sailings and booked within a month.   The offer code is CASINO.  If your email has that offer code in it, your account is in their Players club system and you can get CASINO fare discounts on most sailings - see below.

Before COVID the offers were just some freeplay plus the CASINO discounts:

Although I agree that people should not get cruise credits for cruises that did not happen, I propose that cruise days should be awarded for all days past 90 that it takes to get a refund from a Princess cancelled cruise.

I would also like to know! We are not "loyal" Princesses nor are we brand new. We have a grand total of 2 cruises so far. We have 52 others on various other lines with Elite/Platinum status on some.  We would love to have a free cabin! There was another poster who got one on another thread last week.

I think because she is a casino player? She mentions playing the slots and getting points. And she also states her Holland cruise was cancelled because they sold the ship. So maybe that also?

I'm sure it was something to do with that. I don't think they just randomly picked someone to give a cruise to. Casino players tend to get those.

Most of the major cruise lines are starting to offer casino players complimentary rooms. We primarily cruise on carnival, and we never get free rooms with them. RC Casino Royal gives the best perks for casino players, and you don't have to spend that much time playing.
