WAITLISTED

I recently noticed that most of Regent's cruises in May of 2021 are now waitlisted.  Wondering if this means they will most likely be cancelled.

I guess if my cruise in May to the Holy Lands is cancelled I will apply all my credit to our Africa cruise in Dec. and keep my fingers crossed that by Dec of 2021 we will be cruising again.

It is unclear what Regent is doing.  They had other cruises that were waitlisted and then were no longer waitlisted.   When I looked at a couple of the cruises, there were many rooms available, even though they were waitlisted.

 

Hopefully, will be clear soon what they are doing.   Not sure they even know, until there is more clarity around the virus.

The "Pollyanna" in me likes to think that some(not all) of the waitlisted cruises have reached whatever the "new'(?) capacity might be. Since we have no official idea of what capacity is, it's really hard to figure if it's some sort of problem with the cruise (ports, regulations, etc) or if it's full with a number of passengers.

I just checked the Regent website. We have a Miami Splendor cruise booked in January and February. Neither are waitlisted. We don’t think the January one will sail but it’s still listed.

There will be news soon - the CDC is supposed to release new info sometime between tomorrow and the day after the election.

Is Regent/NCL still supposed to provide updates at the end of each month?  I've lost track, to be honest.

They are....but there seems to be a little room based on outside influences.

Just my opinion...Perhaps an extension to end of November by Monday.....However, no major announcements before the election results are conclusive!
