UBD royal class room for four?

We will be sailing on majestic with family.  Is there room on the traditional size balconies to do the ultimate balcony dinner for four?  What if we have two side by side cabins?  Can they remove the divider?  Thank you.

Not really.  If they remove the balcony divider the combined balconies will be longer but not any wider. You could seat 4 but you will be seating in a line on 2 tables not four on one table.  The problem with the balconies on Royal class ships is not the length but the width.

The standard Royal-Class balcony size is about 9’x4’ and we’ve enjoyed UBDs on them several times. The balcony depth was about 20% less than the smallest 9’x5’ balconies on other Princess ships. It didn’t adversely affect our enjoyment because no matter the balcony size the table is at the railing.

I found a photo on CC showing a standard size Royal-Class balcony however dividers that are firewalls apparently do not open. In hallways that’s visible where a metal strip goes across the carpet which as I recall are at the beginning of each set of one hundred number cabins.

Right, but it is room for two to dine and not four.

No, but they can open it.

When the divider is open it hinges at the cabin wall and folds from the railing toward the cabin. See photo, post #3 for an idea. Would really not help the dining issue. Still would be very tight for 4 people dining. Probably two different tables, two people at each table accessed from each cabin.  Suggest a specialty restaurant. More comfortable for you, more comfortable for the waiters, no worries about the weather.
