Rare ronrick1943 Posted August 11, 2021 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2021 I just can’t figure this out and just curious about it. In the restaurant La Dame I keep seeing an glass bottle on the tables, it has a golden lady with grapes on the front. It’s never full of anything. Is it a wine decanter, a water bottle, a vase or just a decorative piece? It’s nice, but what is it for?
Rare Lois R Posted August 11, 2021 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2021 I can let you know when I dine there on The Muse👍. I didn't eat there on The Moon so cannot answer but I am sure someone on here knows and can help you.
nowornever Posted August 12, 2021 #3 Share Posted August 12, 2021 Just a guess but I would think it is related to the Silversea Lalique partnership. When the Shadow was remodeled, it was totally featured in the "new" LaDame.
mofrances Posted August 12, 2021 #4 Share Posted August 12, 2021 It is a decorative piece. Very beautiful! I agree it is probably related to the Lalique partnership. I've never attached photos but will try now. You should be able to see it from the front and the side to give you a better idea of its shape.
Rare Lois R Posted August 12, 2021 #5 Share Posted August 12, 2021 Ohhhhhhh.....I did see it. I stopped by La Dame while on The Moon to look around and totally forgot I did see this on the tables. Yes, it is part of Lalique.
Rare ronrick1943 Posted August 12, 2021 Author #6 Share Posted August 12, 2021 Thanks, so it has no purpose, other than decorative?
mofrances Posted August 12, 2021 #7 Share Posted August 12, 2021 You know, I was just about to confirm that it is indeed just a decorative piece. But I suppose maybe it could be used as a decanter? We didn't order a bottle of wine so I don't know.
Master Echo Posted August 12, 2021 #8 Share Posted August 12, 2021 You are all quite correct - it is Lalique Glass - however on my recent cruise on the Moon - the Sommelier took my bottle which I chose from the Connoisseur’s wine list and decanted it into the usual decanter, and didn’t use the Lalique glass bottle at all. kindest regards Master Echo 1
Rare ronrick1943 Posted August 14, 2021 Author #9 Share Posted August 14, 2021 Odd, but it’s intriguing to men for some reason.
Will Work for Tiramisu Posted August 15, 2021 #10 Share Posted August 15, 2021 It looks like something you might grab by the neck to wield if you were swept up in an old fashioned western saloon brawl!! Just don't slice the pianner player, hoss!

Gourmet Gal Posted August 17, 2021 #14 Share Posted August 17, 2021 Not all that interesting or attractive, Lalique or not! Luckily, the rest of the ship’s decor looks lovely.
