STEVE-O Posted September 1, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2021 I'm not finding a Pacific Northwest nor repositioning sailing that would get Serenade from Seattle to LA before she sails the Panama Canal to Tampa...... what am I missing? Rondo Posted September 1, 2021 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2021 When I called in about a price change on our Panama Canal sailing from LA I inquired if there would be a 2 day cruise from Seattle to LA. I was told no because it did not meet the PVSA as it could not stop at a foreign port. That is also why there is no 2 day sailing from Miami to Tampa after the Serenade arrives in Miami at the end of the Panama Canal cruise.

I'm curious if there will be a Panama Canal cruise with passengers?? CDC Conditional Sail order is still in effect. Are they now allowing cruises longer than 7 nights? RCCL has definitely run itineraries longer than 7 days within the last month.

Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted September 6, 2021 #8 Share Posted September 6, 2021 I was hoping the same thing for the Majestic Princess, but it’s looking like repo coastal cruises aren’t happening this year. 😏 Maybe the crew will get to decompress a bit at least. I thought maybe the Canada stop rule waiver might allow for a quick coastal.....guess that was only for AK sailings
EdandMary Posted September 11, 2021 #10 Share Posted September 11, 2021 At this time, when the Alaska cruise season ends, every ship must sail empty to the next location as the Canada waiver for Alaska was created my the Alaska and Washington State senators, while NONE of the Hawaiian or California folks signed on the add the exemption for their states. Politics in action, or lack of it, depending on your point of view.
Blizzard54 Posted September 11, 2021 #11 Share Posted September 11, 2021 They can not do a coastal with passengers because of the PVSA. They never have been able to sail from Seattle to LA as a coastal they would have to start in Canada. The temporary waiver is only for Alaska cruises from Washington State.
