Rare rafinmd Posted October 14, 2021 #6 Share Posted October 14, 2021 A question for you. MS Oosterdam has been stationary just outside of Rotterdam for a number of days now: She's been there since almost the beginning of the month. I'm just wondering; might this be a drydock? Roy The Oosterdam is docked at a quay in the Waalhaven. Not in dry dock, but an unused pier( probably cheap to dock there). I heard today that all kind of work is being done on the out- and inside. Last year the World Dream form Genting was at the same location for a couple of months while they worked on her. When the Rotterdam passed the Oosterdam this morning , both ships used their horns to greet eachother. Closer to where the Rotterdam is currently docked , the Rotterdam V is permanently docked in the Maashaven. As is customary when a HAL ship passes the Grand Old Lady, both vessels blow their horns. 4

And yes you'd better pack un umbrella, long term forecast calls for rain almost every day for the next 10 days.
