When you booked onboard, did you notice how fast the spots went. I am going in March and really want to try this and the Ifly but is worried it will book fast.

Board early! It takes a bit of time to get things scheduled and the free spots do go fast!

 I didn’t book ifly, and when I booked the North Star (around 12:30ish)  it seemed like there were a number of free spots left. I booked a paid spot because those were the only ones available at night, which is what I wanted. I now wish I would have booked both a day and night ride on it! 🤦🏼‍♀️
 

I thought about booking a second appt around 2:00 pm, but the only open spots with no fee were mid day on Day 2, which was cococay stop and we already had the cabana booked, so it would not have worked.

Dinner was excellent and entertaining as always.
 

Izumi and what I’ve come to know as Izumi “Hibachi” , which is in the same location on most ships —  are two separate locations and are called Izumi and Teppanyaki. 
 

 

 

 

 

 

I had the beef and chicken-and while it was excellent, way too much protein for a single person in my opinion. It was a full sized filet and chicken breast…..I could only eat half of it. Seemed wasteful 😔 

 

Tip…..go there very hungry…regretted my afternoon stop at Sorrento’s

Unfortunately, I think the Hibachi experience is a "one and done".  I liked it but it wasn't terrific.  I am an oriental food freak.  Even so, my favorite is Pei Wei.  Food here was just not spicy enough for me.  We enjoyed the show but I wouldn't return.  Believe it or not, we have a Philippine food truck here in the middle of Arkansas that is to die for.

Are the pool tables open all day to use or do you have to request the cue sticks somewhere? Thank you for taking the time out to post.  I know there are pool tables in Playmakers as well, same question.

We did book aboard with the Next Cruise and it's for next Nov. for our 1st Anniversary....but didn't get any incentive deal and it's also for another ship. lol

Thanks! Most with my iPhone 12 Pro Max, and a few with a Sony A6000 that I have yet to learn how to use in anything but auto mode.

That was our first Royal cruise. We loved it. How would you compare the Odyssey with other Royal ships, or any other ships for that matter? We are wondering if we would love all the Royals, or it was so great because she was shiny and new ( and not very crowded).
