@niksmom630

Congratulations on your retirement - more time for cruising!  Loving your live review.

We RoyalUp'd to a JS on deck 9 ($100 pp) on this sailing, also. Love the extra bath, but ours is a tad different with two toilets and combo tub/shower. Your layout is what we had on Ovation - a separate tub & shower but one toilet.

Continue to enjoy our last few days onboard.  BTW: I was told we use the same TA.

What's the current onboard program for wearing masks? Is it required in all public areas?

Are the pools and hot tubs open for use?

Do the stewards still do daily room cleaning?

How many offerings are on room service?

Do they still do daily trivia?

Cruising in 60 days and want to know what to expect?

Stopped by the Diamond Lounge just out of curiosity— although we never go there. Pretty small, and crowded. Maybe the appetizers are the draw?

We like the evening appetizers, but the drinks have always been the draw. Although I understand now it's on the seapass card and you can get drinks most every venue that has alcohol.

Great pictures! This ship has become my current cruise goal. I won’t be able to schedule on her before she leaves in the spring, but I’ll get us on board eventually.

@long4acruise, what was your JS number? DH would definitely prefer the bathroom set up that you had. I always have to twist his arm just a little bit when I want to book a cruise, and that set up would be a perfect arm twister!  😂❤️😍

That’s correct. You can use  the the free ones loaded to your sea pass card anywhere

Wow -thanks for all of the pictures and congrats on your retirement.  You have me all sorts of excited for next month.  How does reserving I fly work? And can you tell me more about 270?

thank you

As Biker said, you book using the app once onboard. There are some complimentary spots (like Northstar) but they fill up fast. Try getting the soonest boarding slot you can, and then plan on finding a place to settle in and start booking all your reservations. It’s a process.

Second stop at Cococay this week. I think I will be staying onboard today, since we were just here in August, and spent a full day exploring, and then had the cabana here earlier this week

last night was “formal” night , and dinner in the MDR.

We loved that moving flower wall at the entrance to the MDR.

We were really spoiled with only 1,500 on our sailing.

We had a show booked at 7, but dinner was longer than usual and we missed it. The food has been kind of hit it or miss this sailing . Some items really good, others not so great. Actually sent my beef tenderloin back and asked for another plate last night. Mostly because if you don’t eat something the waiter assumes it wasn’t good and keeps asking if they can get you something else! 😜 second plate was as advertised - beef & “tender” ….

It was a VERY exciting night in the casino at the three card poker table. My usual spot……

you have the option to play a 6 card hand, using yours and the dealers cards to create a 5 card hand.

if this had been my hand, I would have been texting my TA  and attempting to secure a B2B for next week.

the picture tells the story…. 1000 to 1 odds…….

$5000 winnings…..just on the 6 card spot 😳A1990358-6752-468D-84C4-5179BED243CA.thumb.jpeg.b5076a563c64e6d7430379329a5524c7.jpeg

they had to give the man a chip rack to carry them all up to the cashier 😂

That's a beautiful story and wishing you everlasting memories of your joyous occasion!

Too bad the Captain and the Next Cruise dept couldn't work an incentive deal for you to cruise again on your 1st anniversary.   😉

Speaking of the Windjammer, went there yesterday for lunch. It was hopping despite being a port day, which is unusual, but the lay out is far superior to Oasis class and allows for a better flow. I usually avoid it at all costs but it was a good experience yesterday….

I was pretty bummed about the removal of the cheese plate from the room service menu, as that was my go to afternoon snack with a glass of wine before dinner. You can still order it via room service if you are in a suite since it’s on the MDR dinner menu, but non suite members will be forced to improvise….

windjammer cheese plate…. Just ask fir crackers 👍

Last thoughts on the windjammer……I have to assume that this is tied to some supply chain shortage or a really bad “recipe” - but the scrambled eggs have reached an all time low. I’ve always found them to be a little sketchy, and definitely vary from ship to ship, but they now resemble a yellow oatmeal. And the consistency is the same 🤢 they were the same yesterday in the Solarium.

thus, my tip…..request made to order scrambled…..and they will look like real eggs
