Mid May, Late May or Late June

Looking to book a 14 day cruise and weighing the pros and cons time and price wise comparing 3 different dates.  The most expensive is late June.  Can save 280 pp by booking late May.  560 savings is 560 savings.  Can save another 100 pp by going two weeks earlier.  So, is there that big of a difference between mid May and late May to pay that extra 200 bucks?  200 bucks, or 760 comparing the first and third choices can go towards excursions, which of course there will be many. Thanks.

Mid to late May...Great prices, weather and usually snow on the mountains. Love to be there when the season first starts out everyone is well rested, happy to see cruiser's and the shops are full.

Our preference is early/mid June. May often has the least rain and May/June has the added benefit of having more snow on the mountains, and having less kids.

Depending on what cruise line you choose, Holland America is known for more adults.  We went mid August and weather was super.  We were so lucky.  Wanted later in season to be able to get up Tracy Arm in small boat tour.

Yes, totally agree the age demographic varies by cruise line. Viking Ocean does one better, as minimum age is 18 at embarkation.

Tracy Arm - affirmative, you have a better chance getting into the arm later in the season, as it is often blocked by ice in early season.
