We don't usually buy anything on the ship but on 2 different Transatlantic cruises on Celebrity DW went home with a Lecia Camera on one and a pair of Faberge earrings on the other . Nothing this trip .

Enjoy seeing your photos!  Thank you.  I love the Atrium's sculpture on this ship.  So much more decorative than the "what the heck is that?" hanging from the Atrium's ceiling on the Eurodam.  (But, then, that is just my opinion.)

Thank you . Sadly I don't remember the "what the heck is that ?" in the Eurodam  . We did enjoy our Eurodam cruise to Alaska and I tried to see if we had a photo of "it" in our review but I couldn't find it . You may enjoy the review . We sure did as it was our first Neptune Suite and like our next cruise - we booked it at the last minute .

To me, it resembled a stalactite that stopped forming.

When my friends and I saw it, we weren't as kind as you. We saw something else entirely being depicted.

Do they really still have the screening room on the Nieuw Amsterdam?  I thought they were removed from all the ships.  This would be great if it is still there.  Watching movies was so much fun.

I took photos of what I saw , but we didn't go if they had it . I'll check the daily to see if they had movies scheduled .

You're welcome . We're looking forward to the Princess cruise Tuesday and it will be interesting to compare and contrast with HAL .

Will you be doing another Live From thread on the Princess cruise? If yes, will it be here or on the Princess board?

I really enjoy your photos and observations, thank you!

Lido and Canaletto dining . We didn't eat at the Lido but we did want a dessert there . As we were waiting for the lady to serve us a person reached between us and open the door and grabbed a slice of pie and said "Excuse me but it's self serve here " .

I don't have the technical expertise to do a Live From . So we try to plan(s) , live , film and journal the trip and then reconstruct , relive and review it in a thread . I will do a Princess thread like this one except on the Princess Board . I will link it here and do a comparison and contrast on the HAL Board .

Both cabin are aft corner suites and both line are owned by Carnival . The NS is 18 years old and the Enchanted is 1 year old . NA can handle 2106 - 2527 passengers while Enchanted can do 3668 - 4402 . The HAL ship has 11 decks and the Princess has 19 ! We have a lot to learn , see and share .

My wife is a Cafeholic and the only reason that she didn't hang out here was the coffee machine in the suite and Breakfast at the Pinnacle were much closer . On the Princess it will be a visit to the Concierge Lounge 2 decks up or the International Cafe - a long way away .

I am looking forward to your reports.  You do an excellent job with excellent photos!  Thank you for your efforts!

Does this seat look comfortable ?

It isn't.  It's OK to sit for the time it takes for the bartender to prepare a drink so one can take it elsewhere.

😃!   I know what you mean.  I have sailed on the Eurodam twice and have looked for a plaque to describe what the sculpture is supposed to be.  Unsuccessful search each time.

The lack of signage as to what the art is supposed to represent/be/or named on the Nieuw Statendam irritated me when I sailed on her.  Much of her art is so modern.  A replica of David holding a cell phone?  What's the point of that piece of art?  Etc.

Our last photo in the Explorations Cafe was a poignant and a personal one for us . For us the Guanco living free on the Patagonian Steppe and a wall wall designed to keep some people locked in and others locked out . We loved our visits to South America and Antarctica and think that it is the prettiest area that we have seen . On the other hand we have no desire to go to China or Vietnam as long as they embrace Communism . After the break up of the Soviet union and the Eastern block we were thrilled to visit East Germany and Russia as they adopted a more free and open system . But in this hemisphere we have noticed and heard from a number of our guides in the Caribbean of foreign "gifts" like bridges and  of business monopolies being established pushing out local ownership in the process . At the end of our last visit to Buenos Aires it felt strange to end up in the Port under the large and watchful HSBC bank after we had a very open and enjoyable cruise . HSBC is the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation which a very prominent building and presence in Argentina and the World .

Amazing how some think they know the rules (and proper etiquette too).  Reminds me of the post a month or so ago of the lady with the sequined mask that disguised the fact that it had no filter.  She thought skirting the COVID restrictions was totally OK for her.

If someone doesn't like the current COVID restrictions, then choose not to cruise!  They sign the cruise contract--a legally binding CONTRACT--then choose to not comply with the rules once onboard.  Same goes for the mask-fighters on airlines.  They acknowledge they will comply with the rules as a condition ticket purchase.
