Which Pier?

Yes...RCI day porting is at the old town pier.

The only time RCI uses the Pan America port is for departure sailings which we'll be doing in mid March onboard Explorer for a B2B. So looking forward to this itinerary again.

Enjoy your cruise !!

Anybody know where Holland America typically docks in SJ?

Port calls for all cruise lines are always in Old San Juan except in the extraordinary instance of all available berths in Old San Juan being occupied . The chance of that happening is almost zero.

Like others have said, virtually all port calls are in Old San Juan.

Carnival brands typically used Old San Juan as an embarkation port (could have changed post Covid once Carnivals resume sailing out of there, if they resume from there in the future) while the NCL and Celebrity brands use the Pan American port as the embarkation port.

The calendar for San Juan cruise ships I used to use no longer is available.  If anybody has one, I would be grateful.  In the past, I've been surprised by docking at the Pan American dock on Celebrity which screwed up my excursion, and this time I am on Virgin Valiant, so hoping to avoid surprises.

If anyone knows for certain, please advise.

We are arriving in San Juan on the NCL Dawn in March. I was wondering which pier will we be at? Is it the one closest to Old San Juan? I was also wondering if by chance, the open trolley that goes to the fort ,was still shut down.

Thanks

I answered your questions on the separate thread you started.
