We have lived in Florida the past 10 years and we don't want to see snow. We did it once. It was fun to do once, but won’t do it again. We like spending our yearly cruise where it’s warm 🙂.
truffles2 Posted January 29, 2022 #78 Share Posted January 29, 2022 Here are activities for day 7. They are probably a good representation for the earlier days.
Sealily22 Posted January 30, 2022 Author #79 Share Posted January 30, 2022 (edited) Sitting in Royal Theater waiting for Cats to start! We woke up this morning to stormy seas and a heavily rocking ship. We watched the winds whipping outside from the Windjammer during breakfast and later as we walked around the upper decks. Our hopes of sunbathing all day in Solarium were crushed (closed due to weather), but we made the most of our last day by watching Captain’s Corner (it only takes 1.5 years to build an Oasis class ship, but 5 years to initially design one), having drinks at Playmakers (watermelon margarita and Bloody Mary), having lunch at Portside BBQ (really good!), winning BIG at the casino ($13!), playing cribbage at Globe and Atlas and having one last amazing dinner at MDR (Salmon tartare, Greek salad, tiger shrimp, tiramisu, tres leches and cherries jubilee. We’re all packed up and ready to start diets tomorrow! Edited January 30, 2022 by Sealily22

I’m on the 2/6 sailing and would love to be able to have an idea on the activities available. Thank you!! I'm also on the 2/6 sailing. User BennyBrun is on Oasis right now, posting a ton of pictures. He has posted Cruise Compass from yesterday and today and presumably all week. Here's the thread starting from page 3 - skipping past all of the snowstorm travel problems:

Great question! We ended up spending about $350-400 on drinks on the ship - which is $500-600 less than the lowest advertised drink package that we saw. Remember those advertised prices don't include the 18% gratuity! I don't think we would purchase the drink package on future cruises. Beers / wine are about $10 each including gratuity and cocktails are about $15 each including gratuity. We had the occasional morning mimosa and had beers/wine/cocktails starting at lunch through happy hour time and the occasional glass/bottle of wine at dinner. We also had 3 days of shore excursions where we left early and came back around happy hour time - so started late on those days 🙂 Hope this helps!
