edgee Posted January 31, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2022 Our only cruise on Regent has been one on Mariner and was in suite that was far forward. Now looking to book another cruise on Mariner. Best available cabins are toward the rear of the ship. As a frequent cruiser we often have experienced bothersome vibrations in cabins toward the rear of the ship. Will we have noticeable vibrations in suites toward rear of Mariner? If so, how far forward do we need to be to avoid engine vibration? Thanks. mrlevin Posted January 31, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2022 No real engine vibration however there is a shudder when you have following seas; I think that is really true on all ships with pods.

Our most recent cruise was in an Horizon suite on Mariner and we had a very comfortable 18 nights with no vibration issues. Mariner is a very stable & vibration free ship. BBWC Posted January 31, 2022 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2022 We are on deck 9 at the rear for the ‘world cruise’ and not experiencing any vibrations.
czardas Posted February 1, 2022 #5 Share Posted February 1, 2022 I’ve been in an aft suite - Horizon on deck 8 and definitely no issues that I can remember.
daetchief Posted March 18, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 18, 2022 (edited) Years ago we were in the 'Vegas' suite [777] on Mariner almost above the Pods. We only felt the vibration [more of a swish] when maneuvering or holding station [in lieu of anchoring] when inport. While 'cruising' there was barely a noticeable vibration nor anything to attract your attention noise wise. JMARINER Posted March 18, 2022 #7 Share Posted March 18, 2022 Years ago the Mariner had a problem with one of the pods/props and it would vibrate at high speed so much, the ship couldn't go at its top speed. But that problem was fixed 3-4 years ago and the ship is fine now. J
Rare ronrick1943 Posted March 19, 2022 #8 Share Posted March 19, 2022 We didn’t feel any, just a nice cruise all around.
