Glad to hear you’ve made it home safely. You had more than your share of difficulties in getting to Oasis. It wouldn’t have been fair if you had more than minor delays on your way back home

Thanks for taking us along.  I really felt like I was on Oasis again.  Perhaps I'll get to meet you on a future cruise.  I know you said you may book Oasis again in May from NJ.  Hope you do and it's the May 8th cruise.  Then I'll get to say hi in person.

We goofed off at the Casino on the last cruise and are now newly minted Casino Prime members!  One of the benefit is you can drink at the casino bars for free when they are open!  Yay Value cruise lol or should I say prepaid cruise!  I guess we just prepaid for next years cruise and another cruise certificate based on the points we earned last week in a balcony room plus some free play money due to the “generous” promotion the casino is running as I was told.  It was not as difficult/costly as we thought it would be and of course YMMV.

Waldo would like that but unfortunately I am going on the 5/1 sailing followed by the 5/12 sailing on Adventure of the Sea.  The benefit of being so close to port, you can start the laundry by 8:30AM on disembarkation day and pack for the next one lol!

I've read a lot of these "live reviews" over the years; mostly as a lurker.  Your two week adventure was one of the best I've read!  Thank you for making the effort; I almost felt bad because it feels like you're sacrificing a decent amount of "fun time" to post pictures and blog!  We are on Oasis in four weeks and now have everything scoped out and plan made based on your blog!  Look forward to reading more of your adventures in the future! Thanks again!!!

Pool Towel situation update!

 

Again please please please check that account before you step off the ship and correct all errors.  Luckily I had a contact on the ship and I messaged this person for assistance and I messaged Royal Caribbean using messenger (a written record) now a refund request has been submitted and I should see it on my credit card within 10 Days so hopefully that $75.00 will hit before I board the Wonder.  I will need that since the discount for the first voyage is very very very low.  No UDP, shore excursions discounted at 10-15% and Key is sold out as it is shaded out.  The only “bargain” I found was the stream internet $15.99 per day which is still $1.00 more than the BF sale and a mens cut $31.99.  No wonder onboard spending is up… the price went up 😂

Wow… thank you so much!  I really appreciate the comment.  I figured there were quite a few posts about cruising during the last month ( mostly about bad / lack of food choices, lack of entertainment ) I wanted to see for myself and bring an upbeat / honest point of view to fellow CC members so that peole can see and judge for themselves.  Luckily with Voom Stream on the Oasis, the uploads were very fast for a cruise ship so it was not too bad!  I still had a great two weeks and glad to be back home.  Hopefully you will come aboard on Wonder’s inaugural virtual cruise on 3/4.  It’s going to be an adventure!

Finally made it home!  Thank you everyone for coming along on this virtual cruise on Oasis of the Sea for the last two weeks.  We certainly ate ALOT 😝.  Now I have about three weeks to shed off the pounds so I can put it back on again when I board Wonder & Symphony.  Once I am settled in back at the house, I will add few comments / thoughts / craziness regarding the past two weeks on Oasis.  Thank you again for the virtual company, it was a BLAST!  Special shout out to Jimbo for the funny remarks and Hoglady coming from the Mardi Gras virtual cruise!

I think part of it is that you booked late. I am on the 3/4 sailing on Wonder and I have the UDP. They’ve had a few okay sales but nothing life changing.

I was just curious if they offered it but it’s good to know that they did!  I booked this cruise less than 30 days out while onboard the Oasis I can’t be picky or complain about $0.00 accommodation, well I had to pay price the port fees and taxes 😝 so technically is not free but still lol.  I am willing to accept the consequences of late booking!  I will buy the UDP on the next leg Symphony it is on sale for $166.99 which I think is decent price especially they have Hooked!

Hooked was the reason why we bought the UDP on Navigator in January.  Just a sample of the menu:

Besides, I don’t want to be denied boarding 🤣 on any of “our” upcoming virtual cruises! DH and I aren’t sailing again until September on Harmony. Although we’ve done two cruises since restart, I’m still in a bit of cruise withdrawal from our long dry spell between our pre and post pandemic cruises. 😱

See that looks good and it offers something you can not get at MDR which makes sense to buy the UDP and I think for $166.99 PP it is worth it.  On Oasis some of the entrées that I would order shows up at the main dinning room which makes no sense to buy the UDP on Oasis of the Sea for me, and I will be enjoying my complimentary dinning options in May and June.

I love Harmony.  It is an amazing ship you will like Harmony and try to catch Grease because it’s really good and sit farther up in then aqua theater.  I don’t know it they changed the show but when I saw it during the inaugural season the performers kick water into the audience, like ALOT of water and they have designated wet zones.
