Strange email with a casino comp cruise

So, we have a comp’d cruise in September.  Everything on my end is paid, air paid, and excursions.  Out of the blue today I get a Princess email saying we are confirming your cruise with my receipt attached.  So, checked the receipt, checked Princess.com, checked travel summary and nothing appears amiss.  Itinerary is the same.  Cabin is the same.  Final payment on this cruise is not due for some time.   However, since it’s comp’d cruise, I am a bit nervous.  The receipt said that xxxx dollars were due on Jan 20.  I know that is what the casino needs to pay and I made the original booking on January 20 and paid my part.  Should I be calling the casino dept on Monday, or is this just another blip from Princess IT?

It's weird for sure but I would call the casino number tomorrow just in case something is amiss.  After having a casino cruise cancelled out of the blue (they got everything back fortunately) I call if I receive anything on a comp cruise that I wasn't expecting.

I am concerned about this same issue. The first time I booked my August free casino cruise the TA said that the invoice showed $$$$ due in 3 days. I paid everything I needed to and assumed it was casino  payment.  Three days later, I looked on my Princess and found cruise canceled.  TA called and was told it should not have been and was indeed the casino payment so rebooked. New booking shows the same thing but money not due until 3 month prior. I am not sure if my cruise is paid or not.

The notices are auto generated. When booking a free casino comped room the casino waits until final payment to transfer the funds.  The casino desk makes an entry into the system to “protect” the booking from being cancelled if the payment isn’t made on time for some reason.  Where this can become a problem is if you or your agent makes any change - including adding EZair- to your booking.  If a change is made or air is added or flexible air is re-fared  you need to let the casino department know about the change and ask to have the protection added back to the booking.

if you haven’t made a changes then it likely is just an auto generated message. But if you did make a change you or your TA should call and make sure the booking is still protected against cancellation.

we had  two casino offered free cruises in  Jan 2022.  I booked them  as  B2B.  Casino  did not  pay  until week  before  on second  cruise.   I called  each  time  an  email was  recived to vefify that both  cruises  were  secured.

Have casino  cruise booked with room free  for future.  Paid  all our  fees,  port, insurance  and  upgrade cabin.  Received email  a  week  before final payment  due for normal booking that  cruise  was  paid  in full by  casino. I  did  call  casino  to  verify that  booking  was  paid.

I would  advise  to  look  at  email.  If  it  shows no payment  due,  that  means  that  casino has paid their portion.   Remember  to not  make  any  changes to booking  unless  you  go  through casino as that  will void  booking.

Enjoy  your  free cabin  or we  say  earned  cruise!

Okay so I think mystery solved.  In the morning, I checked my booking to see if my stock owner credit was yet applied.  Nope,  then after I got the email, the stock owner credit is now showing.   Who would think they would be applying credit on a Sunday!  I think this action must have generated the email.  Perhaps they protected my account so it did not cancel or something when they applied the credit and it auto generated the email.   I am calling next week to request early ticking for my flights, which means the casino dept will need to pay the flights now instead of when final payment is due.  I will ask when I call about this.
