When can we take our Emed tests?

Recommended Posts

They will look at the time of your test, so at least 12:01 am  on the 12th.   My last test was time stamped my local time but was likely different than the time zone of the proctor.

To be safe, just do it in the morning  of the 12th and not at the stroke of midnight.

In December we took it shortly after midnight Miami time. We live in Central time.  It needs to have a date that is 2 days prior to sailing. Time doesn't matter.  Of course ours also showed UTC!  Only 5he date mattered.

If you use the test result that is emailed to you, that's in UTC, so it doesn't really matter the time.

Thursday, Friday or Saturday, I wouldn’t be trying to take at 12:01 AM Thursday myself..I just don’t see the point.

It makes a huge difference to some people.

We flew in 2 days before our cruise.  We had to leave our house at 5:30am to get to the airport.  Our flights were super expensive so we wanted to know if we couldn’t go on our cruise BEFORE we flew.  So we started our tests at 11:01pm CST.

I just want to be 100% certain of this and have our tests done as early as possible due to our travel arrangements.

We are sailing on a Sunday out of port canaveral, so can we test just after midnight on Thursday  so 12.01am Friday morning?

Thanks
