Bingo on Celebrity

Over the years of cruising from RCCL to HAL we have seen Bingo prices get higher and higher while the payout is not really going up with the price.  How is the pricing on Celebrity?  It is my first cuise on Celebrity,

I think Bingo has been replaced with Deal or No Deal, at least we haven't seen Bingo offered on our sailings since the restart.

Occasionally you will see a no-fee-just-for-fun-no-prize bingo but it’s been a while since I have seen the old fashioned bingo.  Mostly it’s been replaced with Deallor No Deal

Bingo on a cruise ship is/was a great money maker for them.

For what they charge/charged and what they award/awarded was minimal.

All cruise long they build/built up to the " Snowball Jackpot "( from what I remember either a free cruise or $2000 ) where 95% of the passengers attend.

Next thing you know, they will charge for :

Earphones to participate in Silent Disco 

Admission to the Art Auction ( $$ refunded if you spend over $1000)

Admission to Meet the Sr Officers ( photos $15 each )

Lessons on " How to form animal towels and napkin folding " 

Entry fee to play " What's My Line "-- ( Fee returned if nobody guesses in 100 questions )

There was free bingo just for fun on Reflection in February.  One or two games at a time.  No buy in, and also no big prizes. There might have been keychains for the winner.

We have been on 5 Celebrity cruises since restart in June 2021.

no Bingo. It’s been replaced by Deal or No Deal . I have participated in it 3 times and find that unless you are picked to choose and open the cases your chance of winning even $10-$20 or more is pretty slim. That bing said I once Did get to be the lucky one to open the cases but like Bingo the big prizes are pretty much determined by how many people buy in.

I found out that Bingo and DorND are run by the Casino who are not controlled by Celebrity but are a separate enterprise.

That entity has decided that DorND is more profitable for Them because they can manipulate the game while it is In Progress to help determine the payout.

   I still prefer Bingo but it seems to be gone from Celebrity.
