Hi!

I'm on the Pearl from Boston to Bermuda and Bar Harbor this week. I didn't buy wifi but should have service in ports so let me know if you have any questions about the ship or these ports!

I'm curious about the "inflatables" that have replaced Calico Jack's pirate ship in the Dockyard.  I saw a distant picture and was surprised it looked so big.  There was a ship/boat parked next to it that may serve as a bar??  I'd be interested to hear about it if you see it.  We are headed back next month and the pirate ship had always been one of our stops.   Thanks and enjoy your cruise!

Se were in Bermuda last month on the Joy and the Pirate Ship is no longer at the Dockyard. There were  couple inflatables there not really big no one was really using them while we were there.

Would you know the casino hours while in Bermuda? Previously was 9 p.m. but supposedly changes were approved by Bermuda. Wondering if NCL is taking advantage of increased gambling hours?

It was 9pm on the Joy last week.

Glad you made the ship.

Entertainers / Shows / Show times?

Night 1 was a comedian,  last night was a variety show and tonight is the aerial acrobats. Haven't seen any of them but might try tonight. Main shows seem to be at 7 and 9. Live music in most of the lounges seems fairly constant 5-9 and DJs in the club areas after that

Says 9pm- 5am. But it was open early this morning before we'd docked.

What capacity is the ship at? How many passengers? We sail her next month!

Id heard around 1500 vs a capacity of 2300. Which feels right to me though a lot of people were sea sick yesterday so lower crowds than might be normal. There were like 10 tables in the MDR at 8pm

So the crossing yesterday was one of those sea days where they tie vomit bags to the stairwells🙄 they also closed all the outdoor spaces.

I didn't get sick but wasn't feeling great. Got some of the sea sick meds they were giving out for free at the front desk and med center and that totally worked. Starting feeling better right away and by the afternoon I was feeling basically normal.

I like this ship! I think the decor is really pretty, plenty of restaurants and bars.

Following......we will be on her to Bermuda in less than 2 months!  Yay!  So ready!

If you go to any caves, would love to hear your experience.  We missed them 1st trip there, so want to catch them this time around.

Also, will be interested in your Bar Harbor experience.  We are thinking of just going out on our own.

Are those shots from your home? If so, you must have had great front row seats for the America's Cup back in 17!

Yes, from our home. No to the AC 2017 as we moved here late 2020, but we saw Sail GP 2021 & 2022.

Seas were much calmer on our entry into Bermuda today and got to watch them dock, which was fun

Today's excursion was a bus tour of the island, as I wanted to see as much of the island as I could, it seemed like a good option and I feel like I did.

One bummer today is when I got back to the ship, all the pools in the thermal suite were closed for maintenance. So a quick steam it was!

We are going on the Pearl in early August!

How was embarkation in Boston? We have never sailed out of there and are looking forward to a change from departing NYC and their slow embarkation process. Also, can you let us know how it goes in Bar Harbor with customs and tendering in?

Thanks!

So I'm not sure what you mean since I've never been here before, but these might be the inflatables others have mentioned,? I've not seen anyone on them

Went to caves today they were cool! It's a pretty quick little adventure. I think maybe all in we were there for like 30 minutes? They warn you about the 80 steps up and down and that's true,  but the steps are small ish but also they don't warn you about the giant ramp leading down and up too.

Haha well. If you see my other thread,  I had major flight issues and got to the port at 2:15. (4:00 departure), so it was super fast for me 😂 definitely don't recommend that approach though

So they added a second set of shows? When I sailed in April shows were only once at 8pm, but they were nothing to write home about.

It seems like it. Except the first night might have been one only but I have yet to see any of them.  Tonight is a vocalist
