Not only do I bring my water and morning coffee "contigo" bottles, I label them with my current cabin number, and even ship name and date.  I have lost them a few times on ship and off, and somehow they get back to me..............So, I feel a bit like an elementary school child, but if works for me.

I was thinking about labeling my trusty Camelbak thermal bottle with my cabin number. Sounds like a plan. Thanks!

You are painting With a broad brush.  Tennessee is a large state. Water quality there is not uniform..

You should do that for your phone and any other electronics.

Yes cruise ship water for drinking (or whatever) is pretty highly purified by Reverse Osmosis or Evaporation/Distillation.  Better than home!

There is still a high amount of sodium in the water as it is not easily filtered out.   We use a Brita just to be sure .

Check that…tap water on ships contains very little sodium, if any at all.  It is a product of reverse osmosis.

your Brita filter uses carbon which does not remove salt from water.

After considering the options, I'm going to use some of the "weatherproof" mailing labels I've had for a couple of decades. I put one on the thermal bottle to see how it lasts (or doesn't) after several uses between now and the 20th.

I was on a Virgin cruise, and it pretty much requires some sort of water bottle... I was apprehensive about packing some big water bottle.  It ended up working out great, kept the water cold all day on excursions, I will be bringing my new trusty water bottle on all cruises for now on.

Follow-up from this past voyage.

both Contigo water bottles worked wonderfully, with the added benefit of keeping our beverages cold.  During a stop in Puerto Rico, at Barrahchina,(famous for their Pina coladas) I was able to purchase a wonderful "to-go" Pina colada, and along with the ice dregs from previous water, it was delicious to sip on as we wandered around town after lunch.

Anytime we enjoyed a meal off-ship, I would pour in whatever my choice of beverage was thus keeping myself hydrated in the hot caribbean sun.
