Eurodam Dry Dock

The dates for my March Panama Canal cruise were changed and pushed back a week because of her going into dry dock.

Does anyone know when the dry dock is and what is being done?

Drydocks are primarily for the required/routine inspection and maintenance of the hull, thrusters, stabilizers, propellers, etc.  They also do major engine/powerplant/mechanical maintenance work that cannot be done whilst in service.  Any hotel side work (replacement of carpets, fabrics, etc) is simply a by-product of this down time.  I would not expect any significant changes to her interior arrangements or décor.

Dry dock is either Feb 18th - March 4th or March 25th to April 9th.  I am not 100% sure which date yet, but there are gaps in her itinerary on both those dates.

That is a very short dry dock. Two weeks is pretty common.  They must only be doing a few things.

My source shows:

10 days, round-trip Panama Canal Sunfarer for Mar 25 - Apr 9 with Feb 18 - Mar 4 being open

I have now found the March 25th sailing, but it ends on April 4th (10 day Panama Canal).  I can find nothing listed for April 4th to 9th at the minute??

Sort of surprised to see the Eurodam going into drydock again so soon.  It just had a drydock in France in March 2021 before resuming cruising.  Meanwhile, its sister ship, Nieuw Amsterdam, hasn't had a full drydock since 2017.

Is it a drydock or a wet dock?  If it is short, I think it is a wet dock.

Will the dry dock include remodeling the Pinnacle suite?  The PS looks aged with the gold sinks and furniture could use some refreshing.

Last week at the Captain's Talk Capt. Bant said they're upgrading the bridge with the latest technology in February.
