Carnival opening up to all

Prices are higher because Carnival doesn't need to offer discounts to fill ships.

There are still a few deals out there, but you've got to do some digging.  I just stumbled on a great price for a cruise at the end of next October, the prices for the weeks before and after were a good bit more so apparently demand was down for that one particular week.

My inbox has been bombarded with cruises for as low as $60pp and they aren't casino deals as we don't gamble.

There are still some deals to be had, especially last minute cruises if you are not picky about the room, but yes, opening cruising up to everyone has certainly allowed an increase in prices. Carnival desperately needed it too.

In general the average cruise is still cheaper than it was BCE (Before COVID Era) but prices are typically higher than they were CE (COVID Era). This makes sense because Carnival is having to do less discounting to fill the ships as more people are able to cruise, and feel comfortable cruising.
