Nice review, we are sailing on her in March, have been on Freedom and Indy so looking forward to crossing this off my list.  Did you use the gym?  I'd read on some ships they are taking the free to use steam and sauna away when being upgraded so hope this is not yet the case here.

I did use the gym. It was ok. None of the tvs on the treadmills worked. I didn't see the steam or sauna room in there so I cannot comment on that. My husband said the spa was very blah.

Please do not ruin our RCL experience by allowing people eating food at any place they please. Let a bar being a bar, a lounge being a lounge, not your mobile restaurant. What next? Have Deliveroo or Just Eat deliver your slice of pizza from Windjammer to your Schooner bar trivia table? Please. Stay with NCL if you like eating your spaghetti meatballs dripping with sauces in the theatre! Rant over.

jesus christ, you sound like a joy to be around.

We love Liberty but look forward to an Oasis class coming to Texas.

In the air is one of my favorite shows ever.  Guess I’m easy to please.  I’ve seen it done well and not so well though depending on the talent of the singers.

Food is subjective.  We ate at all 3 speciality restaurants last month and we liked Sabor the least.  I didn’t care for all the stews and curries in the windjammer but the DH loves them.  The MDR service for us this time was excellent.

As far as a bar being a bar….we happened to love playmakers and the compass bar and they serve food as well as drinks.  I wish the smaller ships would do this.  It gives the opportunity for snacks or a light meal.

We are not against trying NCL when they come back to Texas if the price is right.  Thanks for your review.

while i don't NEED food when drinking, I am just used to NCL having bar snacks and al fresco bars right by the restaurants. I am not going to apologize for having the munchies after a few drinks hehe

The whole thing about not being able to take food to the bar areas is strange.  We have always taken a slice of pizza from Sorrento's or some little sandwiches and cookies from Cafe Promenade to the Schooner Bar or the pub.....for years we've done this, and no one has ever said a thing to us.  And we are not the only ones, we've always seen others doing the same thing.  It's been a year since I've been on Liberty, but it sounds like something new to me.

I also find it strange. We have not been back on Liberty since cruising resumed but I agree.

We have been on other ships this year and have seen plenty of people doing it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was strange.

Add me as another person who finds this strange.  Very strange.  Very very strange.

I am still trying to understand who complained and why. I don't think i have ever seen crew “chastize” anyone, escort away yes, but not admonish.

So I haven’t been on RCCL in years but am scheduled in October. Pizza and beer go together. I can’t eat the Pizza in a bar but take the drink to the Sorrento?

yep that is correct. can't move a few feet to the pub with that pizza lol

That's nuts!

My last cruise on the Liberty was before COVID-19, but we used to grab some pizza and then sit at the Hoof & Claw with a drink and enjoy Derek Lewis and his wild party karaoke show.

Lewis is long gone (cut when RCL eliminated some entertainment positions), and apparently taking a slice to the pub is gone, too.
