Steakhouse-free wine?

Has anyone cruised lately?  Is the Steakhouse still offering a free bottle of wine for those that dine there on the first night?  Sailing the Sunrise next week.

yes, they still offer that in the steakhouse on 1st night, free bottle of house red or white, or 50% off any bottle (great deals to be had on high end wine).

They had it in May on the Vista.  I think ours was barefoot and I'm pretty sure the only wine they offered was Rose, as we didn't get a choice.

 

Also, my dining partner didn't drink, so I may or may not have had the whole bottle... oops!

There's a big difference between May and now. There's currently people claiming they are being told no free wine and others saying they have to ask for that offer to receive it.

Oh, sorry.  I work full time (not even close to retirement) and typically only cruise once every couple of years so that is the most recent update I had.  Hopefully someone with more recent experience can respond to the OP.

Was on carnival in May, June and Sept. Free bottle of wine was given first night and first fancy dress up night at the steakhouse.  

 

We were also allowed to purchase as many bottles at 50% off as we wanted.

We had a free bottle of wine on our Thanksgiving cruise on the Magic. I'm not a wine connoisseur so I can't speak on the quality, but if it's free it's for me 🙂

On the MG now and received complimentary bottle the first night in the steakhouse.  You need to ask for it.

Has anyone sailed since Dec 6 (when this thread was started) and can confirm they are still giving free bottle of wine on the first night ?  I know the steakhouse price went up recently, don't know if this changed too ?  Asking for my dad who will be on Carnival Magic at end of February.  He wants to purchase steakhouse as a gift for friends and wants to tell them about the free wine.

On the NYE cruise on the Celebration and we were offered a free bottle of house red or white.  You have no "choice" but to take whatever they are offering.  We chose a bottle of white off the menu and got it for half price.

I can close this out, since it's my thread. Sailed the Sunrise 12/12, and got a free bottle of wine in the Steakhouse the first night!

YouTube bloggers are reporting they are getting the free bottle on the first and second night. 1 per table limit. So if 4 people book it's only one bottle

We got a free bottle in Rudi's on Celebration last week on Monday night (Sunday sailing) not sure about the Steakhouse.

Wow!   Really?!?   
 

We’re scheduled for Rudi’s on the first night on Mardi Gras this March.  It would sure be nice to have a complimentary bottle there.
