Message from John Heald re. scammers pretending to be him

There are so many fake pages with people pretending to be me.

 

Now a new danger has emerged with somebody, pretending to be me and contacting people via a fake Facebook page. They are posting a Gmail account asking and requesting people pay for speciality restaurants etc through Pay Pal and other online payments.

 

Please, please do not fall victim to this heartless, soulless person that is doing it

its kind of scary the things people fall for. this is why scamming is a big business.

I saw this on his page this morning and thought to myself, "Who would fall for this?"  But I guess there is always someone.

I thought the only reason you were supposed to contact JH is to ask easily google-able questions or to beg for free sparkling wine?

You can warn people til you're blue in the face, they still fall for it. Just like the phony profile friend requests, scam online stores ads, etc.
