Carnival Legend European 2024 Itineraries Announced

Carnivals European offering is rather pedestrian when compared to other lines.  The ports are ok but I don’t know how excited I am to fly all that way to board the Legend.  If you don’t compare against what MSC (for example) is offering (hardware, itineraries, and price), I think you’re doing yourself a disservice.

I have an FCC I have to spend by August, but for future years I am looking at MSC and Celebrity.  Seriously considering Celebrity for a cruise to Egypt in 2025.

The ports are exactly the same for 10 years now...

Such less variety in ports and cruises considering they have only one ship in the area.

They haven’t been sailing in Europe for the past 10 years. They re-started (after not doing Europe cruises at all) in 2018 and then obviously had none for 2020 and 2021. I can’t remember when they stopped sailing there prior to 2018, but it had been awhile. Point is, we haven’t had Europe itineraries from CCL for the past 10 years.

Personally, I’m thrilled. We are doing the Norwegian Fjords this year, and I just booked the UK/Wales/Ireland/Scotland itinerary for the exact same week next year. It will be three new countries to add to our list of “have been.”

Odd you would say this. I was on the Vista in the Med in 2016....

Actually, the more I think about it, I think we are talking about two different things. I’m not talking about when Carnival has a brand new ship and they do a handful of cruises in Europe before sailing the ship to the Caribbean. I’m talking about when they send a ship there and are actively doing European itineraries.

Would like to see them return to Monte Carlo, but understand there isn't much to do (within reason) there. Overall just happy they're doing Europe. Will be sailing Portugal and Spain with them.

Monte Carlo! Lots to do there and in the hinterland plus Nice, Cannes, etc and best of all Villefranche.

My wife & I are considering B2B starting in June 2024 on Ledgend 9 day Mediterranean, Starting in Barcelona ending in Dover, then right out in 12 day Iceland, British Isles.

Amazing price. Any one able to enlighten me on how B2B works on change over day?
thanks in advance.

haven’t done mine yet,(sept for us) but from what I’ve been reading it’s usually one of 2 ways-

1- all people doing the b2b go to the same area on the ship and the customs people come onto the ship and clear you.
or

2- all b2bers are escorted off the ship as a group, cleared by customs and then escorted right back on to the ship.

if you are keeping the same cabin, you just leave your stuff as it is.

(Much easier to try to have the same cabin)

if you have to change cabins then you have to pack all your luggage and your steward will move the bags to your new room.

I did the Rome to Santorini, Mykonos, Turkey, Athens, Pompeii, Sicily, etc. last September.  Best cruise for ports in my experience and I would do it again in another year - oh, that's 2024 isn't it!

I did excursions to Acropolis, Taormina and Etna, Pompeii and Olympia and highly recommend them all.
