Casino PVP?

Is there a such thing as a Casino rate PVP? My current PVP is no longer responsive and I think I read somewhere that normal PVPs don’t deal with casino rates? I called Carnival the other week and got in a newbie situation who had a coach… while they were able to answer my question, it wasn’t after a long phone call and momentarily losing my booking. I’m too anxious for all that and just need someone who knows what they are doing. TIA

You can just call the casino department directly. Typically that number is in the casino offer. I don’t think there are PVP‘s that specialize in casino rates. Any travel agent should be able to book casino rates as well because you get a booking code that they can use when creating the booking.

My PVP has access to my casino offers and tries to set me up with the best option.

Yes, any good PVP should be able to book casino rates as well...there's just not a special Casino PVP designation is what I should have said.

I call the regular line, talk to the regular person, if they can't handle it they just send you to the casino people.

I am not a casino person, and I know my PVP has casino clients.

There is no casino PVP. When I have questions about casino offers they always connected me to the Casino Dept. There was this nice lady that helped me and she is really good. I asked her if I can keep her as a PVP (because I don't have one) and she told me that I can talk to any one in the Casino Dept.

Pretty sure most PVPs don't love casino offers, at least the free* ones because they don't make any money on them.  That said, yes, a good PVP should still be able to help, but doubt there are any specialize in casino rates.

Does not matter to Carnival PVPs what offers you book under, they get the same credit.  And yes, some PVPs handle more of the higher level casino (ECHO) players than others.

All PVPs can book casino rates, some are just more adept than others.

@Elaine5715 is correct.  PVPs get credit for the booking regardless of the fare or cabin category.  Nowadsys I'll only sail Carnival on free casino offers, and my PVP will periodically call or email me directly if I haven't booked with him in a while.  So obviously he wouldn't be actively looking for my business if my bookings didn't earn him anything.

Agreed.  My PVP always thanks me for booking my free casino cruises with him.

To my knowledge PVP's are paid bonuses, etc. based on number of bookings so if they can easily book a Casino Offer in a few minutes (i.e. person knows the exact cruise they want, offer they want to select and potential cabin areas) it helps them get to the next tier.

That's me.  I already know which specific sailing, offer code, and (usually) room type and location I want to book.  If I need his help with anything it's usually to see if there are more cabins actually available than what I can see online.

 

I email him what I want to book and he gets the booking ready and calls me to confirm and get payment info.  Probably 5 minutes or less of work for him.
