Max amount of drinks.

Here’s my take on the number 15.

breakfast 2 cups of coffee with Baileys and a Bloody Mary = 3

Mid morning around pool 3 frozen drinks over two hours = 3

Lunch 2 beers or 2 glasses of wine = 2

Mid afternoon in the sun around pool 3 drinks over 3 hours = 3

Before dinner 1 cocktail = 1

Dinner 2 glasses of wine = 2

After dinner maybe 2 in the casino or the show = 2

Nightcap maybe 1 = 1

Total = 17

Yes that’s 2 over the limit but at no time did I get drunk but I cannot be called a lush.
I probably would not drink that much but it’s not that difficult to reach the number 15.

I’m sure someone might quickly disagree with my thinking but in my thinking in this case what I drink doesn’t get anyone else drunk

This topic makes my liver quiver.

Don't be concerned. You are more likely to go into diabetic shock from all the sugar in the drinks then from the miniscule amount of alcohol they put in them.

At home I can feel one standard old fashioned that I make myself with only 2 oz of bourbon in it. On my cruise I could have 6 mixed drinks  and not feel a thing.

I think you’re right.  I rarely drink at home, but when I do I’m drunk after 2 drinks.  I had several drinks on my cruise and felt a little buzzed on occasion, but never drunk.

beer, wine, neat - that will 'solve' that problem

I’m not complaining.  My drinks were good.  I’m a light weight when it comes to drinking and I prefer mixed drinks not neat.  I was just surprised by how much I could drink.  Before going on my last cruise, I couldn’t fathom drinking enough to get any value out of Plus/Premier packages much less getting close to 15 drinks.  Turns out it was a decent value for me.  For what it’s worth, I watched the bar tenders prepare several of my drinks and it didn’t appear they were pouring light on the booze.    Maybe I’ve just developed a tolerance with age, because I never got drunk…not that I wanted to!  🙂

Most of us at home make a drink with 2 jiggers of booze. Drinks on board are going to be 1/2 of that

Totally agree it is not that difficult.  Might even add a cappuccino with Baileys after dinner.  But, probably wouldn't do that much every day.

I didn't realize this and IMO, it's ridiculous that Princess puts a cap on the number of drinks!

If you are traveling with a partner, that is 30 alcoholic beverages, each day, for the two of you. How many do you think is reasonable?

I don't want to be annoyed by stumbling drunks or vomit on my vacation, and I encountered both in my early cruising days on Carnival.

None of your business. Who said anything about all alcohol drinks? Don't assume based on your tolerance and bad behavior when you drink. I stand by my post.

Princess doesn't 'cap' drinks per se - you can see if a bartender will 'sell' you one if your allotted drinks have been exhausted.  Totally up to the bartender and Princess at that point.

I get that and understand that and respect that. So it's 15 allotted alcoholic drinks and as much water as you can drink per day.? First I've heard any of this. I guess I'm use to Celebrity. Doesn't matter as I'm old and know my own limits. Just don't need to justify it. Just not receptive of @Teechur questioning what I consider ridiculous and reasonable.

Only the alcoholic drinks are subject to the 15 per day limit. Coffee, soda, mocktails, juice and such have no limits with the packages.

Edit: I forgot to include Red Bull which is also normally available with the packages. (I don't drink "energy drinks" but my daughter tells me that Red Bull and Jägermeister make a good combination. Sounds nasty to me.)

When they first came out with the beverage packages it was unlimited. Then people in one cabin started handed drinks to friends without the package   The sharing prompted the limit of 15 alcoholic drinks per day per person. You will not find a mid market line without such a limit

Oh yes, a Smartie.  I like neither of those beverages but they are actually not bad when combined.  At least I kind of liked them back in my college days.

Lol, there were many things I liked in my university days that I can't stand now.  Not judging, just making conversation.

I consider Princess and Celebrity to be mid market lines and yes Celebrity does not limit alcoholic drinks to 15. I have sailed celebrity often and can attest to not seeing obnoxious drunks in spite of the non limit with both lines catering to the same clientele. Please don’t tell me to sail celebrity then as I probably will but I like Princess also

Are you saying I can have unlimited alcohol for one fixed price on Celebrity ?  I would love to see the wording on that deal. Well if I read their info correct it is $109 per day per person plus 20%. That would make the plan double the price of Princesses
